Smart Things To Do With Your Old Clothes

We can do many things with old clothes in the wardrobe. Think of creating amazing cushions, toys and new outfits with some of these clothes.  There is always one or more clothes that we have refused to let go and with time, these clothes increase that we started looking for how to manage our wardrobes.

With a little bit of creativity and handiwork, you can transform some of these clothes in ways you would love.

Here are amazing ideas for your old clothes…

The T-shirts

If you have stretchy cotton T-shirts, you will have a lot of things to do with it.  You can cut these shirts into strips for plaited bracelets, belts, and hairbands.  You can even make a rag rugs or plaited plant holders with them. What about taking off the shirts arms and sew the bottom hems together to create reusable bags for your shopping?

The Hats

Pick your glue, pompoms, feathers, brightly-coloured paper, sequins, ribbons and buttons and spend time decorating your old hat with either or combination of these items.

The Coats

Old coats are very useful to others who are in dire need of shelter. You can give it out to those who are sleeping on the streets, they would be grateful.

The Skirts and Dresses

You can create new skirts or small dresses for the kids with these outfits. There are other stuffs you can do with them like making blankets or keepsake patchwork throw.

The Jeans

Jeans can be used as picnic blanket when you cut them into squares and then sew them together.  A draught excluder can be create when a leg is cut off and dried beans and stuff into it when the ends are sewn.

The Boots

Bring life to your home and fill those old boots with soil. You can plant flowers in these boots that you can hand on the walls or windowsill.
